1892  (1908)  KEEWATIN . . . is a large provisional district extending indefinitely northward from Manitoba.
1910  The great north-west of Canada . . . comprises the enlarged provincies of Saskatchewan and Alberta (the former provisional districts of Athabasca and Assiniboia having been merged into them), and, to the north, the extensive Yukon territory.
1952  The district of Yukon, as it exists on present day maps, was defined in 1897 and, in 1920, the present outlines of the provisional districts of Mackenzie, Keewatin and Franklin came into force.
